ERC kent Proof of Concept Grant toe aan 6 onderzoekers met Vlaamse onthaalinstelling

De Grants toegekend door de European Research Council (ERC) hebben als doel "to help investigate business opportunities, establish intellectual property rights or conduct technical validation for their frontier research findings."

De beurzen, maximaal 150.000 euro per project, maken deel uit van het H2020-programma.

In totaal kende ERC beurzen toe aan 160 onderzoekers.

De 6 onderzoekers van de Vlaamse onthaalinstellingen zijn:

SCHYMKOWITZ Joost Vlaams Instituut Biotechnologie - VIB Leuven Employing protein aggregation as an antibacterial design strategy
VERBEECK Johan Universiteit Antwerpen Adaptive transmission electron microscopy: development of a programmable phase plate

Flanders Looks ahead to the Tenth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation

Although Horizon Europe (= the ninth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation) is only halfway through, preparations for its successor have already begun. Therefore, in Flanders, the Working Group 12 of the Flemish Stakeholder Platform for European Programmes (VEP), has drafted a reflection paper on the future FP10. A similar exercise was done in the past for the current Horizon Europe programme.
