Strategisch beleid

Het Vanguard Initiative is een innovatie samenwerkingsinitiatief dat de rol van de regio’s wil versterken in het Europees innovatie- en industrieel beleid. Op 7 en 8 november vindt een nieuw overleg plaats tussen de 30 regio's die zich samen engageerden om 'smart specialisation' te hanteren als stimulans om nieuwe groei te creëren. Vijf thematische piloot projecten (in 3D-printing, geavanceerde productietechnologieën voor energie, nanotechnologie, efficiënte en duurzame productie en bio-economie) werden ontwikkeld binnen het initiatief.

The Seminar on “A Science Diplomacy approach for Belgium?!” will bring together experts and practitioners with an interest in science, innovation, international cooperation and diplomacy with a view to reflecting on current challenges and opportunities, comparing best Science Diplomacy practices and approaches around the world, and to defining a Science Diplomacy approach for Belgium.

Het acronym COST staat voor “European Cooperation in Science and Technology”. Dit “bottom-up” programma financiert de coördinatie van het onderzoek dat uitgevoerd wordt in verschillende COST lidstaten. COST staat open voor samenwerking met universiteiten, onderzoeksinstellingen en bedrijven. Naar aanleiding van de volgende COST-oproep organiseert men i.s.m. het COST-office voor de deelnemers uit België jaarlijks een informatiedag.
