Vlaamse reflectienota 'vernieuwde Europese onderzoeksruimte'

De vernieuwde visie op de ERA stond op 17 december 2019 op de agenda van de 44ste ERAC-meeting.

 

Vernieuwde Europese onderzoeksruimte

De voorbereiding voor een vernieuwde visie op de Eengemaakte Onderzoeksruimte (ERA – European Research Area) komt op kruissnelheid en gaat met het aannemen van de ERAC-opinie nu echt van start. 

ERAC is een beleidsadviescomité dat de Europese Raad, de Europese Commissie en EU-lidstaten adviseert over de ERA. De leden van ERAC zijn alle EU-lidstaten en de Commissie. Een aantal niet-EU-landen kunnen deelnemen als waarnemer in de activiteiten van ERAC.

Ook Vlaanderen wil zich alvast laten horen in dit voorbereidend debat.

Reflectienota

Samen met alle belanghebbenden(*) heeft het Departement Economie, Wetenschap en Innovatie (EWI) een Vlaamse reflectienota uitgewerkt over de vernieuwde Europese onderzoeksruimte. .

Timing

De Europese Commissie zal nu een standpunt over de ERA opstellen tegen midden dit jaar en tevens in het voorjaar de Europese hoofdsteden bezoeken om in dialoog te treden met nationale instanties en belanghebbenden.

Ook België zal worden aangedaan. Nadien wordt nog een ministeriële conferentie georganiseerd waar een vernieuwde visie op de Eengemaakte Europese Onderzoeksruimte zal worden bekrachtigd.

Flanders Looks ahead to the Tenth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation

Although Horizon Europe (= the ninth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation) is only halfway through, preparations for its successor have already begun. Therefore, in Flanders, the Working Group 12 of the Flemish Stakeholder Platform for European Programmes (VEP), has drafted a reflection paper on the future FP10. A similar exercise was done in the past for the current Horizon Europe programme.
