Smart Health: nieuw Vanguard Initiative pilootproject gelanceerd

Op 14 april vond het kick-off event plaats van het Smart Health Vanguard Initiative pilootproject. Meer dan 100 deelnemers verzamelden zich online om het evenement bij te wonen, georganiseerd door de drie coordinerende regio's: Vlaanderen, Oost-Nederland en Zuid-Nederland / Limburg.

Het nieuwe pilotproject wil het potentieel van gepersonaliseerde geneeskunde realiseren door interregionale samenwerking te faciliteren.

De verschillende partnerregio’s hebben telkens al solide ecosystemen opgezet die biomedische, technologische en data-gestuurde expertise combineren. Door deze ecosystemen samen te brengen wordt een hogere toegevoegde waarde bereikt en wordt de implementatie van gepersonaliseerde geneeskunde gestimuleerd; het realiseert een innovatieve aanpak voor gezondheid en zorg in Europa.

Tijdens de kick-off werden de aanwezigen verwelkomd door de vertegenwoordigers van de leidende regio's en leerden ze over de doelstellingen en aandachtspunten van de Smart Health pilot. Ze werden geïnspireerd door verschillende demo-cases, die de toekomst van de gezondheidszorg lieten zien.

Regio's worden uitgenodigd om hun interesse in het pilootproject kenbaar te maken door contact op te nemen met de coördinatoren. Zo kunnen nieuwe dream teams opgebouwd worden!

Flanders Looks ahead to the Tenth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation

Although Horizon Europe (= the ninth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation) is only halfway through, preparations for its successor have already begun. Therefore, in Flanders, the Working Group 12 of the Flemish Stakeholder Platform for European Programmes (VEP), has drafted a reflection paper on the future FP10. A similar exercise was done in the past for the current Horizon Europe programme.
