On November the 25th, the BE READY Partnership will host a round table focusing on how Europe can make pandemic preparedness R&I economically relevant between pandemics.
For many outbreak pathogens the normal market does not work properly. There may be huge societal value in having a vaccine ready, but very little commercial value because outbreaks are sporadic, geographically concentrated and unpredictable.
This event will help connect different regional experts and key-opinion leaders with each their own perspectives. The Round Table will focus on defining the hurdles and tools needed to get pandemic preparedness research and innovation to be implemented practically.
This event is organised within the framework of BE READY Partnership, a large-scale European coordination platform funded by the European Commission to support research, innovation and implementation for anything related to pandemic preparedness. The partnership consists of 81 partners from 27 countries across Europe and beyond. More information on BE READY Partnership can be found here.
The BE READY Partnership Round Table is open for public but seats are limited and registration needs to be confirmed.
